CUTTACK: Three people were killed while 30 others suffered injuries after a private bus and a truck collided at Nischintakoili area of
Odisha's Cuttack on Tuesday morning at 08.10am.
According to police, the incident might have happened due to dense fog.
The mishap took place near Katarapada Chhak under Nischintakoili police station area. The bus, carrying more than 40 passengers, was traveling towards Cuttack from the Chandbali area when it met with the accident.
Upon receiving information, fire services and police personnel rushed to the spot and initiated an operation to rescue the passengers trapped inside the bus.
Two people died on the spot, while another succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at a hospital. Some of the injured were shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
