Cuttack: When devotees were busy observing Mahashivratri, 60 metal snakes, two bull idols and one Shivling were recovered from the Mahanadi river in Banki area of Cuttack district on Friday. A group of fishermen were busy fishing in the Mahanadi when a snake idol got stuck in the fishing net. Some fishermen jumped into the river and found idols and metal snakes.The snakes were made of brass and bronze while the other idols were made of stone. The idols were kept in a temple near the river. TNN
