Cuttack: The SCB Medical College and Hospital here will open a dedicated outpatient department (OPD) for liver transplant patients on Thursday.
Patients can book OPD tickets and as per the scheduled time, a patient will be checked by doctors at the liver transplant unit in SCB. The OPD has been set up in the super-speciality building where patients can book their tickets to consult liver transplant doctors directly.
“A dedicated OPD will classify the liver ailment patients immediately ensuring detection and diagnosis can be done faster. Many people will be benefited by the service,” said Rajesh Dora, head of the liver transplant unit.
“The services will be operational from 9 am to 1 pm on Thursday. Three doctors have been engaged for the OPD and a patient will be thoroughly checked after their arrival in the unit,” Dora said.
