Indonesia aims to revive trade ties with state

Cuttack: To revive the trade relationship with Odisha, delegates from Indonesia visited the state on Saturday and also paid a visit to Biju Patnaik’s birthplace in Cuttack.
Among the delegation was Nogopriya Pratomo, director of the Indonesia Trade Promotion Centre. Pratomo said, “We had a great trade relationship with ancient Kalinga. We have had interactions with several industry leaders about reviving the age-old trade relationship with Odisha.”
He added: “Odisha has immense potential, with minerals, spices, rice, handlooms, and millet being the major products of the state. We have developed communication with traders, which will help us in the coming days.” tnn
