Electoral bonds: Supreme Court to hear SBI's plea seeking extension of time to disclose details on March 11
The Supreme Court will hear SBI's application to extend the deadline for disclosing details of electoral bonds. The court will also address a contempt plea against SBI for disobeying the order to submit bond details. A landmark verdict scrapped the anonymous funding scheme and ordered disclosure through the Election Commission.
Electoral bonds: Supreme Court to hear SBI's plea seeking extension to disclose details on Monday
The Supreme Court will hear SBI's application seeking extension till June 30 to disclose details of electoral bonds encashed by political parties. Contempt action has been sought against SBI for wilfully and deliberately disobeying the court's direction. The ruling on February 15 scrapped the Centre's electoral bonds scheme.
Court Summons Kejriwal On March 16 After ED Plea
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been summoned by a court in a money laundering case. The court found sufficient grounds to proceed against Kejriwal for non-attendance in obedience to an order from a public servant. Kejriwal has been accused of sending frivolous replies and avoiding the investigation.
