Cuttack: The Orissa high court’s two-judge bench of Justice Arindam Sinha and Justice Sibo Shankar Mishra on Thursday adjourned further hearing on BJD Lok Sabha MP Anubhav Mohanty’s appeal against the family court’s order that had rejected his petition seeking divorce from his wife Varsha Priyadarshini, to December 6. The adjournment comes after recording the submissions of Anubhav’s counsel, advocate Lalitendu Mishra. TNN

Supreme Court accepts Imran's bail plea for hearing

Pakistan's Supreme Court will hear jailed ex-PM Imran Khan's bail plea in a cipher case related to alleged leaking of state secrets by him. Khan, who has been behind bars since August 5, faces multiple cases following his ouster from power. The Islamabad high court nullified the indictment and jail trial of Khan and his deputy, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, in the cipher case. Khan alleges that his detention and legal battles are part of a plan devised by Nawaz Sharif, former PM and PML-N chief.
