Dipali files plea against election of Tripathy
Cuttack: Former BJD MLA Dipali Das has challenged the of BJP’s Tankadhar Tripathy from the Jharsuguda assembly constituency in the Orissa high court claiming that he suppressed information about criminal cases pending against him. Das lost to Tripathy by a margin of 1,333 votes from Jharsuguda.
In her petition filed on Friday, Dipali has sought declaration of Tripathy’s election as null and void on the ground that he had suppressed information while filing his nomination papers.

Of the total 1,91,020 votes cast in Jharsuguda constituency, Tripathy had secured 91,105 votes (47.69%), while Dipali bagged 89,772 (47%). tnn
