The making of slabs has started at the CMC stockyards.
“More than 4,000 slabs will be required for the job,” said Dash. Cuttack has a drain network of 403 km. The slabs will also prevent dumping of garbage in the drains. It often leads to blockage of drains and overflowing of drain water. Storm water channels will be barricaded in the city too, CMC sources said.
