Youth held with over 1,300 illegal liquor bottles in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: The Coimbatore district police arrested a 23-year-old man for selling liquor on Friday, a ‘Dry Day', and seized 1,300 liquor bottles illegally stocked for sales at a Tasmac bar at Jothi Nagar in Pollachi. Acting on a tip-off, a special team from the Pollachi East Police apprehended Ajay, a resident of Ramanadhapuram district, who was illegally selling liquor at Jothi Nagar.On inquiry, Ajay informed the team that he was selling lquour from a stock stored at the Tasmac bar at Jothi Nagar. The team searched the bar and seized ,1300 liquor bottles from there. Ajay was arrested and remanded in judicial custody.
