Woman who witnessed car accident suffers miscarriage

COIMBATORE: A 25-year-old pregnant woman, who collapsed after witnessing the gruesome car accident at Sundarapuram last Wednesday, lost her child on Saturday.
The woman, A Punartha, was standing near a flower shop at Iyer Hospital Bus Stand in Sundarapuram when a car mowed down six people and injured three. After she fainted on the spot, her husband Arun Pandiyan rushed her to private hospital, where doctors said the blood circulation to the five-month-old foetus was irregular and prescribed medicines.On Saturday, after Punartha underwent a scan, doctors informed the couple about the fetal demise. The foetus was removed on Saturday.
