Dhanalakshmi
and her 30-year-old daughter T
Suganya. On Wednesday, a police officer said, Dhanalakshmi had contacted her son
Sasikumar
to convey that an astrologer had told her that she would fall ill soon. “She said it would be difficult for him to care for her and Suganya. Sasikumar consoled her and promised to take care of both of them.”
When Sasikumar called up his mother on Thursday, the officer said, she didn’t answer the phone. “Immediately, he asked a neighbour to check on his mother and sister. The neighbour found Dhanalakshmi hanging from the ceiling of her house and alerted the Thudiyalur police, who found Suganya dead in the house. Dhanalakshmi seemed to have poisoned Suganya.” tnn
