Vote for ‘Rising Sun’ for people-centric governance: Balaji
Coimbatore: Former minister and DMK zonal in charge Senthilbalaji officially launched election campaign for Coimbatore North candidate Durai Senthamil Selvan at Gandhi Maa Nagar on Sunday.
Addressing a large gathering, Senthilbalaji said the party's election manifesto addresses the specific demands of motor pumpset manufacturers. He explained that the govt's plan to provide modern electric motor pumpset to 20 lakh farmers would directly benefit and revitalize the motor industry in Coimbatore.
Urging the public to vote for the ‘Rising Sun' symbol to ensure continuation of people-centric governance, Balaji exuded confidence that Durai Senthamil Selvan would win Coimbatore North seat. He said while the party was focused on winning both Coimbatore South and North, achieving a massive victory in North would be a matter of great pride for DMK.
During the campaign, Senthilbalaji, along with DMK functionaries, visited CSI Immanuel Church at Uppilipalayam to observe Easter Sunday and sought the support of the public to bring DMK to power.
Senthilbalaji interacted with the residents of Amman Kulam Housing Unit that falls under Coimbatore South assembly constituency and listened to their grievances. The residents complained about irregular water supply in their area and requested it to be regulated. Senthilbalaji also named a newborn baby on the occasion.
