Vijay Bhaskar was on Monday sentenced to three years imprisonment in a forgery case. M Sundaram and his brother M Dhanapal were accused of forging documents and cheating their half-brother by removing his name from some property documents. They tried to sell the property in 2001 without giving him his share of an ancestral property.
M Duraisamy, who is the son of Muthusamy Thevar and his first wife, was given a share in the property,
Thevar Building
, located right behind the collectorate in Coimbatore. The property documents date back to the 1980s. As per the crime inspector of Race Course police station, Mohanraj, the duo forged the documents and removed the name of
Duraisamy
from the document after their father’s death.
