Coimbatore: Two men were killed when a mini truck hit their bike on Annur-Mettupalayam road on Thursday evening.
The Annur police said the incident occurred when M Sadiq, 25, of Janarthana Nagar at Mettupalayam, and P Madan Kumar, 22, a native of N Nehru Nagar at Coonoor in the Nilgiris, were heading to their workplace at Pathuvampalli.
The two were employed with a knitting unit at Pathuvampalli. “Sadiq was riding the bike. When they neared Vathiyar Thottam bus stop, a truck, which was coming from the opposite direction, hit the bike. The two were thrown off. They died on the spot,” a police officer said.TNN
