Two guest workers robbed at knifepoint

Coimbatore: A five-member gang entered a construction site at Sowripalayam around 11pm on Wednesday and robbed two Jharkhand-based workers of two mobile phones and 7,000.
Rahul Yadav, 22 and Anuj Yadav, 28, were fast asleep at the construction site when the gang members threatened them at knife-point and robbed them, police sources said.
The Peelamedu investigation wing police visited the spot and talked to the guest workers.
Police registered a case under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code on Thursday and formed a special team to nab the miscreants.
