Coimbatore: The Singanallur police have booked two men for attacking a taxi driver and his wife in a dispute over letting out sewage water in the open on Friday.
A police officer said 41-year-old J Chandramohan, a resident of Kalaignar Nagar near Irugur, had sustained injuries in the incident and was treated as an outpatient in a private hospital. Chandramohan, a taxi driver is staying with his wife Dhanalakshmi in a rented house.
“They were facing the issue of sewage water overflowing to the road from the drainage facility in their house. This irked their neighbour Mani and his wife Booma, who often fought with them. Two men, who visited Mani’s house on Friday, picked up a quarrel with Chandramohan over the sewage water issue.”
The two, the officer said, scolded Chandramohan and his wife and beat them with their hands and kicked them. TNN
