COIMBATORE: Three men died and another suffered serious injuries in two separate road accidents in Coimbatore and
Tirupur
on Sunday night.
The first accident happened in Annur near Coimbatore where a two-wheeler rider died on the spot and the pillion survived.
The accident happened on the Coimbatore-Sathyamangalam Road. R Sathish Kumar (20) and another R Sathish Kumar (21), both hailing from Erode, were working as construction labourers in Annur. When they were returning home, their two-wheeler collided with a
Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus near Vadakkalur Pirivu.
Sathish Kumar, who was riding the two-wheeler, died on the spot. Sathish suffered grievous injuries. People on the spot rushed him to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH).
The other accident that happened in Tirupur. Saravanan S (25), a native of Salem, and Dinesh Kumar R (23), a native of Harur, who were working as supervisors at a textile manufacturing company in Tirupur, were returning to their rented house in the area on a two-wheeler when a woman carelessly crossed the road. Saravanan, who was riding the two-wheeler, lost control. They fell on the road and a private bus ran over them killing Saravanan on the spot.
Dinesh Kumar, who sustained serious injuries, was rushed to Tirupur Government Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
