Tamil Nadu being governed on principles of social justice: Tejashwi Yadav

Coimbatore: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav, who is the opposition leader in Bihar assembly, on Saturday lauded Tamil Nadu's governance model at a public meeting in Mettupalayam.He presented a statue of Buddha to chief minister M K Stalin and said leaders like C N Annadurai and M Karunanidhi had set benchmarks in politics. Praising Stalin, he said Tamil Nadu was being successfully governed on the principles of social justice. He described the state as a model for "unity in diversity" and added that Tamil Nadu ranked second in overall national growth. Pointing out that the BJP-led govt was seeking to reshape the constitutional and federal structure, the RJD leader said the bill would be defeated with the support of Stalin and other opposition parties. "Stalin played a key role by ensuring the presence of all his MPs in parliament even during the election period, sending a strong message to Narendra Modi and AIADMK. This reflects true conviction - when Tamil Nadu rises, India rises; when Tamil Nadu chooses justice, India moves closer to its core values," he said. Earlier, Tejashwi Yadav addressed the media at Coimbatore airport and stated the women's reservation law was already passed and delimitation was a separate issue planned for 2029. He stressed that a caste census and updated population data were essential, and that reservations should be based on 2025 figures and not that of 2011.
