Stalin announces 3 lakh for girl who died while playing football in Salem

Salem: Chief minister M K Stalin on Sunday said he was saddened by the death of a 17-year-old student, who collapsed while playing football in the district on Jan 23, and announced a solatium of Rs3 lakh to the bereaved family from the chief minister's general relief fund.In a statement, Stalin said Divyadarshini, a first-year computer science student at Arignar Anna Govt Arts College from Sadasivapuram village in Thalaivasal taluk, was playing football with fellow students when she fainted and died on the way to the govt hospital at Attur. "I am deeply saddened and pained to hear about the demise of Divyadarshini. My heart-felt condolences to her family," Stalin said while announcing the solatium.
