Singapore Tourism Board
on Wednesday unveiled its plans to focus on secondary cities in India to boost both arrivals and tourism revenue. It conducted a road show for travel agents in the city on Wednesday to create awareness on different packages it offers and ways to sell the destination to the people, who have already travelled to the country once.Singapore
Tourism Board’s regional director incharge of South Asia, Middle East and Africa, said Singapore has been seeing 16%-17% year-on-year growth in terms of tourist arrivals from India. “At least 6.1 lakh Indians had visited Singapore in the first three months of this year alone. However, majority of them were from metros. Hence, we are planning to tap the secondary cities.” Srithar said they want people to know that Singapore was a destination that can suit all wallets, varied interests and passions. “What awaits you is a holiday that is worth the money you spend. People need to know that they can have a chickenrice
