Coimbatore: Roommates stab man in drunken brawl

COIMBATORE: A 28-year-old man was stabbed by his roommates over a drunken brawl at Sowripalayam here on Monday night.
The injured person was identified as K Harish. “He was staying with his colleagues Vishnu and Santhosh in a rented room at Sowripalayam. The trio was working in an apparel unit in Tirupur. On Monday night, a verbal duel broke out while they were having drinks in their room. Vishnu and Santhosh stabbed Harish and went absconding,” a police officer said.
Neighbours took Harish to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital. Based on his complaint, the Peelamedu police registered a case against the two men under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
