has been suspended for a month by the regional transport officer after a complaint was registered against him. The bus conductor identified as

Shaik Farid

had not returned a change of Rs 25 to a private college assistant professor, M Jaikumar, on February 3. He was travelling in a private bus - S B Transport - towards Mettupalayam from Coimbatore.

Despite repeatedly asking him for the change, the conductor did not return the change and also engaged in an argument and used filthy language. The fare was Rs 13 and Jaikumar had paid the conductor Rs 50 for two tickets. Though Jaikumar gave Re 1, the conductor refused to give him remaining Rs 25.

Jaikumar had petitioned transport authorities, RTO and various other government departments.
