COIMBATORE: A day after sending truckloads of relief materials to flood-affected
Kerala, BJP cadres sent a team of electricians and plumbers to the neighbouring state to carry out post-disaster rehabilitation measures on Wednesday.
BJP national youth wing vice-president AP Muruganandham said that the team, consisting of 28 people, will help people in various parts of Kerala conduct repair at flood-affected houses.
“Team consisting of an electrician and a plumber each will travel to 14 districts in Kerala, based on the requirement. They will visit villages and spend time in households to set right electrical lines. All of them are from Coimbatore,” Muruganandham said.
“After three days, we will assemble 60 more plumbers and electricians to be sent to Kerala,” he said, adding that there is an acute shortage of electricians and plumbers in the flood-hit state.
