petrol

bomb at the fans of actor Ajith Kumar at a cinema theatre in the city on Thursday, when they were waiting to watch the actor’s new release

. The city police have formed four special teams to nab the duo.
The Kattoor police said the fans of Ajith had installed flex banners at Karpagam Complex, which houses Ganga, Yamuna and Kavery theatres, on 100ft Road. An investigation officer said 25-year-old Naveen Kumar, a resident of Rathinapuri, was a diehard fan of Ajith and had booked more than 450 tickets for the fans show at 7am. “A graduate, Naveen is a functionary of Hindu Youth Front, the youth wing of the Hindu Munnani.”
While the first fans show started at 4am, Naveen and six others were standing on the theatre premises. “At 4.30am, two men came there on a bike and threw the petrol bomb at them, before speeding away. When it exploded, Naveen sustained minor injuries to his left leg. He was treated as an outpatient at the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital.”

and team rushed to the spot and held inquiry with Naveen and the six others. Police have collected CCTV footage from nearby areas and formed four special teams to nab the two.
