The police booked Padmavathi and Ramasamy, the partners of Q-rich, Muthusamy Paramasivam of Primo Fashions, and middleman Ganeshamurthi under sections including 294 (b), 405, 418, 420 and 506 (1) of the Indian Penal Code.

Q-rich purchased 5460kg of yarns worth Rs12.7 lakh and Primo Fashions purchased 11000kg of yarns worth Rs 26.1 lakh from LCC Mills several months ago. But they failed to clear the payments and the cheques they had given were not honoured. Ganeshamurthi was the middle man in the execution of the two purchases.

The FIR was registered based on a complaint filed by LCC Mills manager SC Balaji.
