Owner of restaurant chain held for cheating

Coimbatore: The rural police on Tursday arrested the proprietor of a restaurant chain, his son, brother and nephew for cheating an investor of Rs 13.5 crore. The arrested persons were identified as Miju C Moidu, 52, a native of Ernakulam, his younger brother Manoj C Moidu, 48, his son Zain Moidu, 27, and nephew Anain Sibi, 25.Police said Miju Moidu was the founder and chairman of ‘TN43’ chain of restaurants located at various places in Coimbatore and the Nilgiris districts. They were arrested based on a complaint filed by Balakrishanan, a businessman from Saibaba Colony. Balakrishanan was cheated of Rs 13.5 crore by Miju. tnn
