MP man arrested near Salem for possessing 20 kg of ganja
SALEM: The Omalur police in Salem district on Tuesday arrested a man for possessing 20 kg of ganja.
The cops noticed a man from a northern state acting suspiciously. They searched his bag and found 20 kg of ganja in it. He was taken to the Omalur police station.
The police registered a case and arrested the man, identified as Krishna Amroel, 36, of Hoshangabad district in Madhya Pradesh.
Further inquiries revealed he had purchased ganja from Vijayawada and frequently travelled to Tirupur for selling the contraband.
