Miscreants vandalize Tasmac bar

Tirupur: Unidentified miscreants vandalized a Tasmac bar after one of them quarreled with the bar staffer in the city on Thursday evening.

The bar is attached with a Tasmac shop near Puthu Road bus stop at Ponkovil Nagar on Dharapuram Road in the city. Two men, who came to consume liquor at the bar, picked up a wordy quarrel with each other.

When K Vinoth Kumar, a staffer of the bar, intervened, one of men attacked him and snatched a one and a half sovereign gold chain from him.

Later, the miscreants were joined by four of their friends, who vandalized the bar by breaking vessels, lights and a refrigerator.

Vinoth Kumar lodged a complaint with the Nallur police. Police have recovered CCTV footage and are yet to identify the miscreants. tnn
