of Thiruvananthapuram, were arrested by the Race Course Police for attempting to handover two shirts, two tracksuits and two pants to Anoop Mathew George and PA Shyna at the jail here. During frisking, police found a pen drive in one of the pant pockets. The duo was handed over to the Race Course Police who registered a case and remanded them to judicial custody. They told police that Parthiban had asked them to handover the clothes to the Maoists,” a police officer said.

Parthiban was evading arrest and police had formed a special team to monitor him. “On Friday evening, he was arrested by Race Course police and later was remanded to judicial custody. He was booked under section 4 of the prisons Act and sections 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) and 506 (i) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code,” the officer added.

The duo had recently obtained conditional bail.
