Gold chain of Coimbatore housekeeping employee stolen

COIMBATORE: An unknown person stole a gold chain of a woman near Chinthamani bus stop here on Thursday.

RS Puram investigation wing police said Mary, 53, of GM Nagar near Ukkadam was engaged in housekeeping work in a private firm at Cross Cut Road in Gandhipuram. On Thursday morning, she boarded a bus at Ukkadam and got down at Chinthamani bus stop on the Mettupalayam Road. She walked to office from there.

When she reached office, she noticed that her gold chain – weighing 3.25 sovereigns -- was missing. She came to know that someone had stolen the gold chain. Based on her complaint, police registered a case.
