COIMBATORE: Four locations, including the Coimbatore Combined Court Complex, received hoax bomb threat emails on Monday morning.
The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) conducted searches at all the four locations and declared the bomb threat a hoax.
The Coimbatore Integrated Court Complex received an email on Monday morning stating that two explosive devices had been placed in the court complex and demanded the evacuation of all people from the campus.
Similar bomb threat emails were received at the Judicial Academy located in Race Course, Jawan's Bhavan on the Huzur Road and the office of a vernacular Tamil daily near Sundarapuram.
BDDS personnel along with the K9 Squad (detective dog squad) conducted searches at all the four locations. After extensive searches, they found nothing suspicious as mentioned in the emails.
