Namakkal: Five of a family were arrested for beating their neighbour to death over a drainage issue, near Kumarapalayam in Namakkal district on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Angamuthu, 45, of Pethampalayam near Kumarapalayam. He was a truck driver.

Ramesh's family, including his parents and his siblings, retaliated by attacking Angamuthu with sticks. Ramesh also joined in the assault. Angamuthu succumbed to injuries and died on the spot.
