The website has detailed the criteria, which will be considered for assessing organisations in Swach Survekshan. The website mentions ‘My City My Responsibility’ as the motive behind the Swachh Coimbatore mission.

As a first step corporation should scrap all damaged , leaking garbage bins and use well-built bins. The corporation should tell the residents what items need to be separated before throwing into corporation bins. Currently one bin is provided for everything. Bakeries generate more garbage . It is mind boggling to see the number of bakeries at every corner of the streets.. The corporation should build shopping area at designated areas and cancel licence to bakeries operating from rented properties unless they have their own garbage collection and disposal means. Currently some bakeries burn the garbage on the streets on a regular basis. This must stop. Out of towners create more garbage at bus terminals, eateries and bakeries. The corporation should come up with a plan to tax them, say, by collecting a fee for the vehicles entering the city just like Palani local administration collecting a fee when entering PalaniRead allPost comment
