Coimbatore: Residents give cops CCTV footage of burglar

COIMBATORE: An unidentified person crossed the compound wall of an apartment and climbed walls to reach the flats at Puliyakulam here in the city a few days ago. A CCTV camera recorded the thief and the footage was handed over to Race Course police who started investigation.
On October 22 around 1.15 am, the man jumped across the compound wall of Sree Vatsa –Srinalaraja Residency apartment in New Dhamu Nagar at Puliyakulam.He had climbed walls to reach a flat on the first floor. He had stolen a few articles from the house and later climbed down.
He had climbed on a beam to reach another flat on the first floor. However, the resident noticed the thief who managed to escape from the apartment. Immediately, the resident association members checked the CCTV footage and found the thief in the video. They handed over the footage to Race Course (law&order) police inspector T Jothi. Police have started investigation.
