Coimbatore: The home department on Thursday appointed four new deputy police commissioners to the city.
The new appointees were G S Mathavan (North), N Silambarasan (South),

R Sughasini

(headquarters) and

N Mathivanan

(traffic.)
All the four were promoted to the rank of superintendent of police from the additional superintendents.
Recently, city police commissioner

Pradip Kumar

was transferred and he was replaced with V Balakrishnan.
While the new city police commissioner is yet to take charge, the deputy police commissioners are expected to take charge shortly.
