Ashok Kumar, district president, BJP youth wing, led the protest that saw participation of around 280 party cadres. They raised slogans against the Pakistan foreign minister, who referred to
Modi as a butcher of Gujarat, and condemned him for his inflammatory speech against Modi and comparing the RSS with the Nazi SS.
State BJP treasurer S R Sekar and local leaders took part in the protest.
In Pollachi, 150 BJP cadres, 20 of them women, staged a protest at Thiruvalluvar Thidal on the day, condemning Bilawal Bhutto’s remarks against Modi and the RSS.
Led by BJP south district president Vasantha Rajan, they raised slogans and demanded the Union government to strongly react against the inflammatory comments.
