Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham partners with Volvo Group India
CHENNAI: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has partnered with Volvo Group India to help students gain essential skills for the fast-moving and ever-evolving automotive industry.
“This partnership formalizes via MoU to provide students with key insights and on-the-job experience, ensuring that they leave well-prepared with valuable industry exposure,” said the official statement.
The partnership includes the launch of a two to four-semester credit-based programme that emphasizes industry-focused subjects.
Volvo will also play an active role by bringing in the faculty, sending experts and providing students with practical real-life projects. Volvo will train Amrita’s faculty in teaching the latest technologies in the syllabus and provide scholarships to women students.
Suresh Kodoor, director, Academia- Industry Partnership of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, said: “Working alongside a global leader like Volvo Group will significantly enrich our students’ learning journey, equipping them with the skills and confidence to excel in the fast-evolving automotive sector.”
The collaboration will not only provide internships and pre-placement opportunities for students but will also support research-driven education. There would also be opportunities for higher studies and research collaboration with Amrita for Volvo Group employees.
