COIMBATORE: A 36-year-old man who was earlier involved in three murder cases in Tirunelveli and Tuticorin districts was arrested on Saturday at Vinayagapuram near Saravanampatti in Coimbatore.
P Siva alias Nellai Siva of Korappallam in Tuticorin district was involved in a murder case at Tuticorin in 2003. He was also involved in two murder cases at Tirunelveli in 2005.
Although, he was arrested by the Tirunelveli police, he got bail in 2005, after which he went absconding.
The police officials of the two districts launched a hunt to nab him in the other districts. It was only last week, though, that the Tirunelveli district police found his hideout in Coimbatore and approached city police for help.
The Coimbatore city police arrested the murder case accused on Saturday and handed over him to the Tirunelveli police. According to the police, the accused was staying at Saravanampatti in the last five years. He had not involved himself in any criminal activities in the city, where he worked as a real estate broker.
