Tirupur: 3 men put behind bars for abusing minor girls
TIRUPUR: The
The court awarded life imprisonment to P Murugasamy of Madathukulam taluk for abusing his neighbour last October. He had abducted the class IV student when she came to purchase something from the shop owned by his mother. He abused her at a secluded place behind his house. Based on the complaint from the victim's mother, the Udumalpet all women police had registered the case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and arrested Murugasamy. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on him.
The court awarded seven years imprisonment to Subramanian of Veerapandi in Tirupur for sexually abusing a seven-year-old girl last July. The 49-year-old labourer had shown the victim sexually explicit pictures in his mobile phone before abusing her. The Tirupur south all women police had registered the case. The convict was also directed to pay a fine of Rs 5,000.
The court gave five years imprisonment to Karthik, 31, of Perunthozhuvu for molesting a 17-year-old girl at a temple last January. The Palladam all women police had registered the case. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on him.
