23-year-old knitwear unit employee found murdered

TIRUPUR: A 23-year-old man was found murdered among bushes at Velliyangadu in the city on Sunday.
Police identified the deceased as K Arun Kumar of Pattukottaiyar Nagar, who was working in a knitwear unit. “He had left his house on Friday. Several injuries were found on the body,” a police officer said.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Kumar had left his house after someone phoned him.“His family members thought that he would have gone out with his friends and would return soon. We are yet to find the motive behind the crime,” said the officer. The Tirupur south police registered a case and are investigating the incident. The body was sent to the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.
