’ Nagaraj, who was questioned by CB-CID police in connection with the sensational Pollachi rape case, for fighting with each other and damaging public property in Pollachi.
Nagaraj, 28, his friends Sabarish of Pollachi, Arun Karthick, 27, Maritmuthu, 24, Vasanth, 19, Sabariswaran, 23, Sulaiman, 19 and Ayyanar, 17, had a fight with Vibin, 21, and his friends Anoop, 21, Santhsoh Vikram, 21, Nowsath, 21, Ragavendra, 21 and Kanagaraj, 20 at Jothi Nagar D Colony in Pollachi, police sources said.
Vibin, a college student, was staying at Makkinampatti. He had borrowed money from Sabarish and failed to repay. A few days ago, Sabarish went to Vibin’s room and took away his pet dog. Vibin launched a search for the dog, but could not find it. Vibin’s friend Anoop told him that he had noticed the dog in Sabarish’s house. On Thursday night, Vibin and five friends reached Sabarish’s house and asked him to return the dog. But Sabarish asked Vibin to return the money he had borrowed. The two gangs later had a clash at Jothi Nagar D Colony. Both Vibin and Sabarish lodged complaints against each other.
