Youth murdered in Chennai
CHENNAI: The Sathangadu police on Friday arrested a man for the murder of a 21-year-old youth in Thiruvottiyur.
The do were friends earlier. Tensions began between them during Dinesh’s birthday last year when a heated argument resulted in Dinesh assaulting Ajay. Fearing Ajay might seek revenge, Dinesh allegedly plotted to eliminate him.
On Thursday, Dinesh met Ajay in Thiruvottiyur, where he and his accomplice, identified as Khaleel, allegedly stabbed Ajay to death.
The body was found on Friday morning. The police sent it for postmortem and arrested Dinesh. They launched a hunt for Khaleel.
