World Environment Day: Chennai Railway Division conducts awareness programme

CHENNAI: The Chennai Division of the Southern Railway conducted an awareness programme at Chennai Central Railway Station for school children on the occasion of the World Environment Day on Tuesday.
A Swachh pledge was taken by 130 schoolchildren from eight schools which was administered by divisional railway manager Naveen Gulati.
Gulati administered the cleanliness pledge and inaugurated a drawing competition for schoolchildren.
Southern Railway chief rolling stock engineer Gautam Dutta distributed the prizes for winners. The drawing competition entries have been displayed at the station.
A seminar on this year's theme "Beat plastic pollution " was conducted at Chennai Division office for officials and staff.
