Workers fight on terrace, fall to death
Chennai: Two construction workers fell to their death while fighting on the terrace of an eight-storey under construction building in Nolambur on Tuesday morning.
The deceased - Pankaj Jha (30), of Bihar and Mujbhir Rehman (26), of Assam - often quarrelled over trivial issues, police said.
On Tuesday, while carrying cement bags to the eighth floor of the building using a lift the two had a scuffle.

While fighting after reaching the floor, they rolled on the floor and in the process fell off the building. Hearing loud thuds, other workers and the supervisor rushed to the spot and found them lying in a pool of blood. "The co-workers did not interfere to pacify them believing that it was one of the regular fights," said an investigating officer.
The supervisor alerted the Nolambur police who sent the bodies to Kilapuk Medical College and Hospital for autopsy. Police said Pankaj was married and his family was in Bihar.
