The deceased have been identified as R Indumathi of Kolathupalayam and her sons Yadvik Arvin, 3, and 11-month-old Nivin Adhik.
Indumathi was married to Ravi Kumar, 34, of Kolathupalayam. She had come to her parents’ home in Pothupatty in Namakkal town to attend a temple festival.
Ravi Kumar, who works as a guest lecturer at a government arts and science college in Rasipuram, left for work on Monday, leaving Indumathi and their two sons at her parents’ home.
