Tamil Nadu: Woman arrested for selling liquor illegally

CHENNAI: The Kodungaiyur police arrested a 52-year-old woman for selling liquor illegally at her house in Ezhil Nagar on Thursday. The police recovered 30 liquor bottles and ₹1,000 in cash. According to the police, the woman was identified as S Rosy, a resident of Kodungaiyur. Based on a tip-off, the police went to her house at Ezhil Nagar on Thursday.They later confirmed that she was selling liquor bottles illegally from her house. She was then arrested and the liquor bottles were recovered. The police also recovered ₹1,000 from her.
She was remanded in judicial custody on Thursday. tnn
