Woman arrested for sexually assaulting 17-year-old boy in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: A 28-year-old woman was arrested on charges of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy in Tiruvallur district. The woman kidnapped the Class XI boy under the pretext of a romantic relationship, police said.
The boy went missing on Saturday. Based on a complaint by his family members, the Periyapalayam police started an inquiry. They found that Vinodhini, who was close to the boy, was also missing. The police traced the duo to her relative's home in the area.
Vinodhini was married and has two children.
Vinodhini was booked under sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO). She was remanded in judicial custody.
On June 21 last year, Sathyapriya of Ambattur was arrested on charges of sexually abusing a 17-year-old boy. Sathyapriya had stayed at the house of her son's friend for two months where she sexually abused the boy.
