Verdict in Dinakaran's case today

The two decade old FERA violation case against TTV Dinakaran, a former AIADMK MP and nephew of party general secretary V K Sasikala, has shot back to the limelight, with the Madras high court scheduled to pronounce its verdict on Friday.

Regulation Act (FERA).

It rejected Dinakaran's claim of being Singapore citizen and hence out of ED ambit, and found him guilty .Consequently, a fine of Rs 25 crore was imposed on him.After an appellate authority too upheld the fine, Dinakaran moved the high court and the matter had been pending since then.
