of the

movie

, directed by B S Lingadevaru, is based on transwoman-actor Living Smile Vidya's autobiographical work titled, "I am Vidya".

"Naanu Avanalla… Avalu" won the best actor (Sanchari Vijay who plays the role of Vidya) and best makeup artist awards when it was premiered at the 62nd National Film Festival held in 2015.

The movie portrays the stigma associated with the third gender and also exposed the struggles undergone by a transwoman, said a release from the US Consulate General.

The visitors must carry a government-issued identity card to enter the premises.
