Two-year-old girl killed in cylinder blast in Kolkata

CHENNAI: A two-year-old child died while her younger sister and her grandmother suffered injuries in a fire accident at their house in R K Pet in Tiruvallur district, on Saturday. The fire was due to a leak in an LPG cylinder. The deceased child was identified as E Priyanka. Her parents, Elumalai, 42 and Parimala, 35, who are casual labourers, had left for work on Sunday. Priyanka and one-year old-Keerthana were at home with their grandmother Dhanammal. The blast occurred when Dhanammal lit the stove. Priyanka succumbed to her injuries while Keerthana and Dhanammal are undergoing treatment.
